Since some projects connected to the impact fees have not taken place, County Administrator Sel Hemingway asked that the fees be lowered by about a third of a cost for residential and by about half the cost for commercial building. The fee is now around $4078 for a permit to build a home and a commercial structure of 3000 square feet would require an impact fee of $5400, rather than $9400.
